REVIEW: Mario Badescu: Drying Lotion & Facial Spray

AHH! I am so excited for this review, you guys! I'm sure you all have heard about these two beauties in the picture above. The MB drying lotion and facial spray are widely known as a "cult favorite" and I was constantly hearing about them on social media. I had been wanting to try these out forever and I finally picked them up at Ulta in December.

Mario Badescu is a well known brand for treating acne and creating anti-aging solutions for the face. Thankfully, I have never had to deal with severe acne but I do get the occasional and pesky "oh, you need to look nice well not today" breakout. I never really knew what to do for it so I usually just let it heal on its own. However, while shopping in Ulta, I found a kit that contained the Drying Lotion and a smaller size of the Rosewater Facial Spray. So, I decided to give it a try!

My Thoughts on the Drying Lotion:

The Mario Badescu site says that it "helps dry up pesky pimples overnight". I don't know about you but that sounded pretty good to me! It has key ingredients such as salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide to draw out the impurities from the skin. The bottom of the bottle has a pink sediment with a clear liquid that sits on top. Make sure you don't shake the bottle! It is supposed to stay separated. (If you happen to shake it by accident, no worries! Let it sit until the pink powder settles back down to the bottom).

This is meant to be used after your nightly face routine so it can work while you are asleep.

It is very simple to use! Simply take a Q-tip and dip it all the way into the bottom of the bottle where the pink powder is and then lift it out. After that, just dot it on wherever you have a breakout or feel one coming. Supa dupa easy! :) When you wake up in the morning, you will have a dry, chalky white residue in some areas. Wash it off with your favorite cleanser and then you'll be good to go!

Okay Anaja, but did it WORK?!

For me, yes! This product has been a little miracle worker for me. I have learned as I use it that it's best when used ASAP on a breakout instead of waiting. I noticed that it takes a little longer to show results on my pimples that have been on my face for a while.

As far as the price goes, it is worth it! It is $17 but this will last a long time since you don't use large amounts of it.

I am not going to say it works for everyone because just like anything, not everything is intended to work for everyone. However, I do think it is a product that is effective and definitely one that I will repurchase!

My Thoughts on the Facial Spray:

OK. This is one of those products that you wonder why it is so popular because it doesn't seem like anything special but I am here to tell you this stuff is where. it's. at. I am obsessed with this spray! The Mario Badescu site says , "Cult-favorite. Makeup artist must-have. Revitalizes with dewy radiance. Boosts moisture and glow." *cue the applause*

I have ever only heard amazing things said about this product so obviously I was eager to try it.

This spray contains aloe vera, rose, gardenia, thyme, and other hydrating ingredients. The best thing about this is that it can be used on your face when your skin needs a boost, on your hair, as a setting spray, the list goes on! I have loved it so much that I went and bought another one. :)

It also smells and feels great when you spritz it on your face!

As you can see, this product doesn’t have any specific claims but I just love how versatile and inexpensive it is! It comes in different sizes and there is a $5, a $7, and a $12. I think it’s worth the price and I will definitely be repurchasing! After my reaction with this one, I can't want to try their other facial sprays!
